KEIRA PROUST
I'm a journalist, producer and storyteller. I currently am a reporter for the ABC Central Coast NSW newsroom and have worked at Triple J HACK, ABC South East NSW, ABC Illawarra and WIN TV. I live in Gosford and grew up on the NSW South Coast in a tiny village called Tomerong before moving to Wollongong for university. I have always had a curious mind with a passion for storytelling. I have travelled abroad since I was a child, usually backpacking throughout South East Asia with my family. Travel really piqued my interest in people and their stories and my passion for storytelling took off during my 5-month exchange in France. I can speak French and English. My favourite topics include travel tourism, gender inequity, Indigenous affairs and history.
I am looking to continue growing my journalistic skills. I am confident both in front of/behind the camera and microphone. I also have good editing skills in both television and radio. I am also proficient at filing for breaking news content across all platforms. I have already worked for several regional radio and television stations across NSW and often file stories for national and state-wide audiences too.
